ECHINACEA - CONEFLOWER / BACK TO PERENNIALS

Echinacea angustifolia

Vigorous, 2' stalks carry numerous, rosy purple petals that stem from large center cones. Summer blooming.

Zones 3-8     

Echinacea 'Sunrise'

This Echinacea Big Sky™ series selection, a cross of E. purpurea and E. paradox, produces delightfully fragrant, pale citron blossoms on thick, 30-36" stems June-Sept. The center cone starts green and widens with age, turning gold. From ItSaul Plants, Alpharetta, GA.

Echinacea purpurea 'Fatal Attraction'

A real eye-catcher! Hot pink to red coneflowers, with deep orange center cones, bloom in late June on unique, black stems with rich green foliage. Grows 26" tall.

Echinacea purpurea 'Pow Wow White'

Pure white flowers have a bronze-yellow center. More floriferous than any other seed Echinacea and faster to flower, looking exceptional in the first year. Uniform, compact and well-branched habit. Grows 16-24" tall and 12-16" wide. Drought tolerant.

Echinacea purpurea 'Pow Wow Wild Berry'

This All American Selection winner stands out for its flower color, branching and plant size. Deep rose-purple flowers are 3-4" in size and have excellent color retention. Trialed throughout the United States, this variety has proven first year flowering and superior performance. Its basal branching habit provides increased flower counts per plant. Blooms all season without deadheading. Grows 16-24" tall and 12-16" wide.

Echinacea purpurea 'Prairie Splendor'

It’s not only gorgeous, with its 4-6” rosy pink flowers but it’s also the first Echinacea to bloom 100% the first year from seed. It also blooms up to 2 weeks earlier than other coneflowers, with extended flowering from early summer to first frost. Has a nice compact habit, growing 24” tall and 18-24” wide. 2007 Fleuroselect Gold Medal winner.
